Greenhook Fishing is a charity (CIO) that has been established to provide training and full-time employment in the boat building, fishing, and related industries.
Primarily, we will be working with ex-service personnel who have fallen through the traditional resettlement net and have ended up marginalised within society.
The business model is co-operative and as the organisation moves from charitable funding to self-sufficiency, the elements of the organisation will work in a co-operative manner.
Developing a fleet of fishing vessels under 10 meters in length, that will be powered by sail or oar, we will be able to fish without the restrictions imposed on motor vessels.
These boats will use hand lines and will fish for targeted species, contributing to sustainability while having minimal environmental impact.
